Meet the Owner
Hello.
I wanted to take some time to introduce myself and provide some background on what motivated me to start 2 Down Baseball.
Like many of you, I have loved baseball for as long as I can remember. My first memories are of trips with my parents to see games at the legendary Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park in Chicago. I played baseball from T-ball until I graduated High School in a small town in West Virginia. Some questionable choices and lack of discipline nixed any sort of ideas I had of playing ball in college. Live and you learn, I guess. I kind of lost the game when I graduated. For almost 15 years I would have brief stints helping coach at various levels, but I never felt the same passion I had when I played.
Then my son, Easton, was born.
I had the opportunity to coach again when he started playing T-ball. At the time, I never would have imagined how rewarding it was to teach little ones the game of baseball. Something clicked, and the love of the game I once had came rushing back. I have coached youth baseball ever since, and I live for the smiles kids have when they are having fun playing this great game!
I started 2 Down Baseball because I wanted to bring my passion for the game to others. First, the idea was to create the brand. Secondly, I wanted to create a company that I could eventually turn into a facility and continue to teach the local youth about baseball. While the second part is still in the planning stages, my current goal is to continue to create unique designs and provide quality clothes and equipment that baseball players of any age can feel confident sporting on and off the field.
Finally, fast forward to now, and my son, E is 9 years old and has found a love for working on his game. My daughter, Charleigh, is 5 and I think she wants to practice baseball more than her big brother. I am so proud of them both. My wife, Mcki, is the conductor that keeps this baseball loving operation on the rails. She has been my biggest supporter as I chase my dream to create a baseball brand people can be proud to wear.
Thank you for your support!🤘
